Hospice massage is used to provide comfort and dignity at the end of life. It is often used to manage pain & symptoms in patients who are in hospice care. Massage can help decrease anxiety, agitation, pain & joint stiffness, and improve blood and lymph circulation. It can also provide a sense of compassion and comfort for the patients and their families. Techniques can be done on different parts of the body, depending on the patient's needs and preferences, and can be done with patients in bed, wheelchair, or other locations that are safe for each individual.
